The prompt

Research question based on this task: You are an instructional designer. Design a complete course: [COURSE TOPIC]. Students start at: [STUDENT STARTING POINT]. They finish able to: [END SKILL]. Total lessons: about [LESSON COUNT].

Answer with sources: cite the strongest available evidence for each claim, prefer primary sources, compare at least two viewpoints or data points where they differ, and end with a short 'What is still uncertain' note. Full task context: You are an instructional designer. Design a complete course: [COURSE TOPIC]. Students start at: [STUDENT STARTING POINT]. They finish able to: [END SKILL]. Total lessons: about [LESSON COUNT].

Deliver:
1. THE PROMISE - the course's outcome stated as one measurable sentence a sales page could use ("By the end, you will have ___"), plus the prerequisite check: 3 questions a student should answer yes to before enrolling.
2. MODULE MAP - a table: Module | Lessons (titles) | The exercise the student completes | What the exercise produces (a tangible artifact).
3. CAPSTONE - the final project specified like a brief: inputs, required components, and a pass/fail checklist the student can self-grade against.
4. DROP-OFF GUARD - identify the lesson where students most likely quit and rewrite its opening to prevent it.

Rules: every lesson must produce or practice something - no lesson may be 'watch and absorb'. Sequence by dependency: nothing is taught before its prerequisites.
